Sacramento Pride is Live and In-Person on June 8-9, 2024!

The Sacramento Pride Festival, produced by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center as its largest community engagement program of the year, welcomes 22,000+ people annually. The festival runs Saturday, June 8, 2024, 12 p.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, June 9, 2024, 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.

This year’s Pride Festival will feature hundreds of exhibitors and vendors from throughout the region, including community retailers, diverse food and beverage, nonprofit and public service providers, faith communities, and many more! This year’s event will include three stages featuring exciting entertainment from the Sacramento region and the greater LGBTQ+ community. In addition to entertainment and exhibitors, the festival grounds will hold multiple activations and attractions that will bring guests of all ages and backgrounds together in an environment that entertains, educates, and inspires!

Festival Location

Sacramento Pride Festival once again returns to Sacramento Capitol Mall. The Festival grounds will extend from 7th Street to 3rd Street between L and N Streets. The entrance to the festival is located at the intersection of Capitol Mall and 7th Street.

Event Exits and Emergency Exits are located throughout the festival grounds, with additional exits made available at the latter portion of the event. A handstamp and security screening will be required for re-entry upon exiting the festival grounds.

Parking and Transportation

Air – SacPride Festival is less than 15 minutes away from the Sacramento International Airport, with quick and easy flights arriving daily from across the country.

Train – Sacramento’s downtown Amtrak station is only blocks away from the SacPride Festival, so why not climb aboard?

Sacramento Regional Transit –SacRT has convenient stops near the marquee event locations, making it an ideal option to get to and from the Festival.

Parking – If you are driving in, be sure to plan ahead. You can use the City of Sacramento’s SacPark system to pre-reserve your parking space in city garages near the events.

Ride Share Services – We encourage setting rideshare drop-off and pick-up locations to on L and N streets near 7th street.

Safety and Security

To ensure the safety of all guests and the festival festivals festival’s security, all attendees are subject to security screening upon entry to the festival grounds, including a bag check. Security personnel will not touch, handle or hold any belongings or persons entering the festival. Guests are encouraged not to bring bags and valuables into the festival to speed up security lines; guests.

Please have tickets and ID ready before joining the security screen queue.

Prohibited Items

  • Firearms, ammunition, knives, and weapons of any kind.
  • Self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray, mace.
    Marijuana (including marijuana-enriched products) or any illegal substance.
    Objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons.
  • Fireworks or other similarly explosive or flammable objects, smoke machines, or fog machines.
  • Outside alcoholic beverages of any kind.
  • Glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars).
  • Horns, whistles, giant megaphones, or artificial noisemakers.
  • Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, and scooters. Bike parking is available during festival hours.
  • Suitcases, bags, or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high.
  • Coolers or outside food, and loose or dry ice.
    For the comfort and protection of our guests, SacPride’s hired private unarmed security guards participated in LGBTQ+ Cultural Humility Training before the event dates.

Cashless Festival Initiative

The Sacramento Pride Festival is working toward becoming a cashless event! To improve the guest experience, Sacramento Pride Festival is introducing a limited cash payment initiative for our 2023 festival. We aim to reduce wait times at entry gates and beverage stations by eliminating the need to process credit cards and exchange cash for tickets manually to; additionally limiting, limiting the spread of germs that comes with cash handling.

Guests will be able to purchase event tickets through our website at sacramentopride.org to reduce congestion and speed up lines. We will no longer require guests to exchange cash to purchase beverages. Beverage stations will primarily offer credit/debit tap to pay options, powered by Square, with limited cash payment opt

Planet Proud Initiative

Sacramento Pride is officially #PlanetProud this year, with our new initiative to reduce landfill waste by 50%! As an attendee, your help is critical in our goal to be the greenest Pride festival in the nation. How are we doing this?

🎪 Booth exhibitors, food and beverage vendors, Center-led festival activations, and Pride March contingents have agreed to waste reduction and sustainability guidelines

♻️ Sacramento Pride Festival is eliminating non-recyclable single-use plastics everywhere possible – including single use water bottles, food and beverage service ware, and ‘swag’ being distributed by exhibitors.

💦 The festival will feature multiple complimentary water refill stations, and encourages guests to bring their empty reusable water containers or purchase an aluminum bottle at a beverage station.

🗑️ Bins will have more visual identifiers, with signage and different color bags that are associated with that they are (💙 blue recycle, 💚 green organic, 🖤 black landfill)
